Even if rhododendrons do not like consistently wet feet, they love plenty of moist air. Rhododendrons will grow particularly well in regions with a maritime climate (for example, in Britain). In the garden humidity can be raised by planting trees and shrubs, by having a good cover of plants from the leaves of which water is constantly evaporating or by having expanses of water, like streams or garden ponds. On warm, dry days, you should employ a sprinkler or garden hose; a five minutes of spraying in the morning and evening will do.
